Thursday Shenanigans

It's been a week since my last post yeah? Should i make this a regular thing.. once a week posting?

Anyways, turns out I did bomb that test, but we still got an extra 10pt hw assignment, not that would help.. not to mention whether or not I will get the full 10pts.  Because of how bad I did on that last test, I need to do well on the 4th midterm and the final in order to keep up my grade.  Im doing enough to get by in the class, but in order to pass, i need that 4th midterm and final.

That's for one class.. the other classes, well let's just say i'm struggling more in other classes.  Struggling as in, struggling to finish.  I got a 5-page hmsx paper to write, and then a 10-page bioethics paper to start.  Hmsx due next Friday and Bioethics due in 2 weeks.  Not to mention that I got a bioethics midterm next wednesday.  *sigh* definitely getting down the wire and gotta keep up with my work.  It's so hard to concentrate on my papers and to find a way to make a study sheet.

It's not even about procrastination anymore, because I'm not.  I'm working on it, it's just HOW to deliver this work.  This Hmsx paper should be easy to write because it's a review essay, yet I can't focus on how to write it since i'm more worried about whether or not I have all the requirements (which I must add is ridiculous for what our prof wants from us).  25 citations from 3 articles, but you can't use more than 15% of the text.. it doesn't make sense.. because you cant have 5 citations per page, and consider that 85% your own work because you're quoting everything from the articles. What?!

Whatever, I just want to finish it up so I can start my other paper.

Definitely feeling the stress coming along now.  Just about 3 more weeks left and I'm home free.. for a couple weeks at least, then back on the grind for summer session. ughh.. when will this end?!

Crazy Week...

Last Thursday didn't go as I had hoped.
Before the game, During the game, then After we left... totally in a bad mood.  I nearly killed my newly charged cell by texting people all my rants haha.  Sorry about that folks, but you all know that when i'm frustrated I immediately get on my phone and start texting everyone haha.

Definitely glad to have been with family that night or else I would have been stuck in a bad mood for a LOOOOONG time.  I thought we were going to be there too long and miss ABDC Champs for Charity, but ended up watching it there (then at home, then again the next day haha) and must say, it was A-MA-ZING.  I was first to jump on the couch when it came on and of course the first thing that comes out is "who's the cute one Sanna?!" HAHA.. of course.

We left the house around 11pm and when we walked to the car we saw an SUV with a driver blocking the way... by the time we got to the car, Monta Ellis walked out of his house.. me and my bro got quiet.  It's like... do we say something? do we leave him alone? say hi? what do we do? HAHA.  Just smiled, got in the car and tried to maneuver around the SUV and left.  That was a WOW moment haha.

Anyways, besides that Thurs, nothing special in the past week, just studying and bombing tests.. sucks to be me... roooar!

Random: Why We're Shy

Thought this was interesting.  Found it on someone's tumblr:

“About 20 percent of people are born with a personality trait called sensory perception sensitivity that can manifest itself as the tendency to be inhibited, or even neuroticism. The trait can be seen in some children who are “slow to warm up” in a situation but eventually join in, need little punishment, cry easily, ask unusual questions or have especially deep thoughts, the study researchers say.
The new results show that these highly sensitive individuals also pay more attention to detail, and have more activity in certain regions of their brains when trying to process visual information than those who are not classified as highly sensitive.
Individuals with this highly sensitive trait prefer to take longer to make decisions, are more conscientious, need more time to themselves in order to reflect, and are more easily bored with small talk, research suggests.
Previous work has also shown that compared with others those with a highly sensitive temperament are more bothered by noise and crowds, more affected by caffeine, and more easily startled. That is, the trait seems to confer sensitivity all around.”
This is definitely me haha, no lie.  Such a shy kid, then kinda grew out of it as I got older (still shy tho!)

I forgot this week was the start of summer registration.  It didn't help that I never got to see what my summer registration time was in the first place, but whatever.  I was reminded by someone on facebook who posted in their status that they registered for a summer class.. that's when I'm like... OH CRAP!!

So, I registered for Ochem 2 (fun....) and hopefully things go well this summer..

Checked out my registration time for the Fall..
Crappy timing i swear.. give it to me on a day where I'm IN class... hella stupid.. i swear, my school -_-*

anyways... i shouldnt be complaining considering my registration time is pretty high up there.. hopefully i can get the classes I want/need

Easter till Now...

Easter Sunday was such a crazy filled day.
Woke up at 7 and got ready for church, but turned out we weren't going to the 8AM mass, but the 9AM mass.
Mass was about 1.5 hours, which was weird since mass was only an hour at 8.. hmm..

Got home, and ate a pancake (yes A pancake.. ONE pancake), and then off to San Ramon with my brother to visit one side of the Pugay fam.  First time I went to my cousins house and boy was it nice.. though you can't expect less from a house in San Ramon haha.
When we got there, they were finishing up cooking lunch, but me and my bro couldn't eat since we were heading to another party after.  Though we did get to make our own Italian sodas and OMG were they good, but that's coming from someone who couldnt drink soda for 40 days (I'll explain about my lent experience after haha).
Lunch looked good, but too bad couldnt eat any of it.

We stayed about an hour and then headed off to Fremont to a buffet with another side of the Pugay fam.
Been to this buffet several times, and the only thing I can complain about is the slow service.  Getting refills on drinks (or even getting our drinks) and getting our plates picked up were so slow, but other than that, the food is always good enough to keep getting more.
Got to play with my nephews a bit and my goddaughter and then headed back home ASAP Since I had to meet up with my friends for a Karaoke night.  It was raining pretty hard out so my bro drove slower than usual, but still made it back home on time.

D was already waiting for me outside, but Jane was late, even though she was the one that wanted to meet up earlier hahaha
I drove through the rain to Pacific East Mall.. traffic because of an accident, which was wasting even more of our time.. felt bad cuz Jane needed to be back early, so we were rushing as much as possible.
We sang for about an hour, and even after the first song, i was already losing my voice.. WOMP WOMP.

Went home in the rain again and yep, that was my night and the end of my spring break.

So what have I been doing up till now? studying for my genetics test which I feel like I've bombed....we'll have to wait and see what happens.

So lent right?
I gave up COFFEE. CANDY. SODA. CHOCOLATE for lent.. 40 days of none of that.  I crashed on the chocolate course.  Sister made me eat that red velvet cupcake (which was totally worth it, but i felt bad) on her birthday, but other than that havent had any at all.  Had my first Soda during the party in San Ramon, had my first Chocolate when I got home from church.. THIN MINTS <3.  Havent had candy or coffee yet, but I'm trying not to get into the habit of always having it.

Anyways, that's all for now.. until next time

Baseball 2010.. Coming Soon!

Went to the last exhibition game of spring training of the Giants vs. A's.
Just so happened to be A's Fan Appreciation Tailgate pre-game event.  So got to the ballpark about 9:30 and waited in line to get in (event opened at 10) and immediately went straight to 1 of 2 booths.
Was about 6th in line.. got one of my bobbleheads signed and got my new mini bat signed as well.
Unfortunately, when i took my bobblehead out... Brett Anderson's head fell off HAHA, i couldnt believe it.  That was the first bobblehead i got that was "broken."  I was so embarrassed to hand him only a head to get signed, but he laughed about it and thought it was actually pretty awesome.
Me: um.. sorry, but I broke it!
Brett: *chuckles*  It's alright.... dude, that's awesome!

I'll fix it later haha, but for now i stuck it back in its box.

After the first round, went back in line to see if we can get the next session.  Justin Duscherer was in that rotation, but since we forgot to bring his bobblehead and we already got his autograph from before, we let everyone go ahead of us while we waited for the last session.
Got my bat signed by 2 more players and had Andrew Bailey sign my wooden baseball.

Once out of this line, walked around a bit and headed to the other booth to see if we can get Ben Sheets autograph.. us and about 15 people got cut-off unfortunately.. the players had to leave for pre-grame stuff.

Got our tickets and headed into the ballpark.  It's been such a long time since going in
The game was going by pretty quick surprisingly, but left about 6th inning to do some Easter shopping..

Now i'm at home... wrapped everything up, but them back in their boxes, but them in its cases and now its time to wait for the real season to start.

MONDAY... OPENING GAME... MARINERS vs A's!! can't wait!

GIRL MAGIC!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA *DIES*
I swear, the funniest shit happened today at work..

so this guy, who I've seen before, comes in and he's all amazed at how the store has filled up and starts touching everything.  He starts asking questions about stuff, like what everything is and how much they are.  Then he looks at me and tells me that he loves my necklace and wants it.... ok.....

then he proceeds and picks up a keycap of a pink panda (or bear, but i told him it was a panda XD) and asks me:
Him: do you know what my friends have nicknamed me?
Me: (umm......you're really asking me that sir?) don't tell me.. is it panda?
Him: they call me .. STRAWBERRY PANDA!
Me: *smiles* oh really? that's..................... cute

My music started playing Kaja Goo Goo's "Too Shy" and he's like.. Oh this song is before your time isnt it?
Me: Not really, i was born in the 80's..
Him: You were born in '80?!
Me: no no no nooo... I was born in 1986..
Him: oh, so you're about 24 years old huh?
Me: almost...
Him: That's a good age to be.. 24.. you just have to be careful or you might lose your GIRL MAGIC...
Me: *smiles* oh yeah?
Him: Yeah... I think girls are ALLL living Gods.
Me: *smiles* ...... well thanks.....

AHHAHAHA OMGGG  Best conversation ever!!!  Totally made my day, but that fool is such a creeper... *shuders*
